Fernilea Cottage

Further along the coast, just 1 mile from the B &B, we have our self-catering cottage that is also available to let for a minimum of 3 nights. Our lovely Fernilea cottage is great for families that wish to stay together and have their own space while getting to know Skye.

The house can accommodate 5 guests in 3 bedrooms and is situated within the tranquil and picturesque crofting hamlet of Fernilea.  It is just 1 and a half miles from the village of Carbost, which is home to the famous Skye Talisker Distillery and has a well-stocked shop, post office, tea room and local Inn serving great food with regular “live” music sessions.

Very well-appointed throughout, it offers flexible sleeping arrangements with a king-size bedroom, a double bedroom and a single bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped, and the sitting room has big comfy sofas and a welcoming open fire (initial supply of logs included), making it perfect for relaxing at the end of a busy day.  Central heating, WiFi and all linen are provided.

All the rooms are located on the ground floor and are bright and airy. The kitchen/dining and 2 bedrooms boast lovely loch views to the rear, the perfect sight to wake up to. The lounge and master king-size bedroom are front-facing onto the lovely enclosed gardens. There is a bathroom with a bath, electric shower, wash basin and WC with electric towel rail. Off-road parking for 2 cars.  

The garden is fully enclosed but please note there is a small stream that runs through it.

The cottage is strictly no smoking.  Charging of electric cars from the domestic supply is not permitted.

Prices differ depending on time of year and start from £165 per night in low season for one bedroom (minimum of 3 night stay)....... each additional bedroom will incur a small additional charge (please contact us for details).
